Description
The Shelby is a cap also known as the "Irish newsboy cap," with an elongated shape that is soft in its proportions. It is made of a precious tweed fabric in colors of blue, burgundy and milk white. The leather button completes the sporty style and gives that extra bite to a garment that is a must-have in today's wardrobe
The pattern of the fabric is called Tartan and comes from the Scottish Highland Islands. It is used to define membership of a particular clan or family. In the 1920s it was adopted and launched by the Prince of Wales, from whom it has taken its name over time.
The coppola is made to measure and still follows traditional techniques, which include manual cutting, ten or so steps of tailoring and finally ironing on wooden forms. The know-how of our craftsmen is combined with technical innovations that help and accompany them during the various processes. This balanced synthesis of tradition and innovation gives Doria hats their internationally recognised quality characteristics.
