Our Shelby a classic eight-panel Irish cap with a more streamlined design, reinterpreted proportions, and embellished with a genuine leather button on top of Crown an oval metal pin. It is made from a blend of silk, linen, and cotton with a tartan pattern, produced in Italy by the renowned Lanificio Egidio Ferla.

The particular design of the fabric, called Tartan, historically came from the Scottish Highland Islands and still, in those places, defines membership in a particular clan or family. Such fabrics are used to commemorate special events or denote districts or institutions. In the 1920s this pattern was adopted and launched by the Prince of Wales, from whom it has taken its name over time.

The workmanship of this cap is highly sartorial and still follows traditional techniques such as hand cutting , dozens of steps of tailoring, to ironing on wooden forms. This historic craftsmanship know-how is joined by technical innovations that help and accompany the hands of our Salento artisans during the workmanship. It is precisely this synergy, this balanced synthesis of tradition and innovation that gives Doria caps that internationally recognized "hand" and mood, a true specialty and specificity of the brand.
