Rudol

The Rudol is our unlined fabric bucket hat, obviously 100% handmade. It is made of a vibrant canvas (or dishcloth originally) fabric in the color military green, a plain weave fabric with a coarse weave, whose origins are lost in antiquity.

Its name comes from a dialectal mispronunciation of the name hemp, from which it was originally made. Over the centuries it has undergone various improvements on the retort of the threads and adapted processing to different fibers, one above all cotton. It is also a fabric widely used in the nautical field.

Rudol has a very sartorial workmanship made up of various handcrafted stages such as hand cutting, ironing without the aid of press machines but performed by the hands of our Salento artisans, and the final step of forming on wood.The pure brass D logo and the stitching enhance the final result and illuminate the garment.
