Description
The Orlando is a straw hat made from a very light weave of hemp fibre, a plant subject to intense debate that grows naturally in temperate climate zones. This weave is biocompatible and environmentally sustainable as the cultivation of hemp can be repeated countless times on the same field without impoverishing it. This weave is not bleached before the dye is applied, which gives the dye itself a natural, enveloping tone.
Thanks to this particularly elastic and resistant material, the hat is crease-free and can be handled without special care and attention. It is, however, not recommended to keep it rolled up for an extended period of time, as it may lose its shape.
The Orlando hat is made in black and decorated with a brown suede belt. It is a light, fresh and sporty hat suitable for all free and informal moments. The workmanship is very special and has a strong artisanal connotation. Skeins of woven hemp are sewn together starting from the top and forming, lap after lap, the shape of the hat. Then the raw hat is worked with the sole aid of steam and heat, pulling it by hand over wooden forms so that it takes the desired shape and letting it air dry.
