Description
Our Azulina turns out to be a simple but refined looking hat, green and with natural tones. Its medium, soft wing turns out to be functional due to the fact that it can also be turned up at the front creating beautiful shadows on the eyes.
Azulina is made of a very light and very airy papier lace in tones of tuff and natural.
It is processed using only water vapor and heat, pulling it by hand on wooden molds to keep it light. It is very important that the fibers do not close together, leaving the interlacing spaces between the fibers that form the "lace" pattern that gives the straw its specific appearance. The sash is a simple and refined grosgrain in a nuance, decorated by the gold D on the back bow.
Cloche hat: the history
The cloche hat a great accessory for protection from the sun and has a unique lightness. Its shape is called a "cloche" and was invented in 1908 in Paris by milliner Caroline Reboux in her atelier, becoming an iconic item worn by the most fashionable women of the time. Its name comes from the French and means bell, precisely because of the shape it reproduces on the head.
The cloche hat was very fashionable among "flappers," or a new generation of very young women who wanted to live free from the constraints of society. Looking even further back, the cloche is nothing more than the first form of hat created by man by felting wool to create a cone that protected the head from rain and wind.
