Description
The Shelby is an eight-segment Irish coppola declined in a more slouchy version, reinterpreted in its proportions and enriched by the genuine leather button detail. The fabric in which this coppola is made is a blend of Silk, Linen, Cotton with a Scottish pattern, produced in Italy in the renowned Biella district and created by Lanificio Egidio Ferla.
The pattern of the fabric is called Tartan and comes from the Scottish Highland Islands. It is used to define membership of a particular clan or family. In the 1920s it was adopted and launched by the Prince of Wales, from whom it has taken its name over time.
The processing of this coppola is sartorial and still follows traditional techniques involving manual cutting, a dozen or so steps of tailoring and finally ironing on wooden forms. The know-how of our craftsmen is complemented by technical innovations that help and accompany them during the various processes. This balanced synthesis of tradition and innovation gives Doria caps those internationally recognized quality characteristics.
